Jeffrey M. Nowak brings over 25 years of experience in the Virginia, D.C., and Maryland real estate title industry.
A sought-after speaker and educator in the Washington, D.C. metro area, Jeff has conducted thousands of real estate settlements and has trained countless real estate professionals on continuing education and industry trends. His deep knowledge and engaging teaching style make him a trusted resource in the field.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, cheering on Michigan State sports, playing golf, and tending to his yard.
Andrea Underwood
Closing Manager
Andrea has held her Virginia Title License for 24 years, and is also licensed in both Maryland and Washington, DC.
With decades of experience in the title industry, she brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her work, as well as being an exemplary customer service agent and having an eagerness to help others.
She’s a lifelong Northern Virginia resident and a passionate animal lover. When she’s not working she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with friends and loved ones.
Peter McKelroy

Peter is a seasoned attorney with a strong background in litigation and title law. Originally from Memphis, TN, he earned his B.A. in Accounting and law degree from Ole Miss.
After litigating from 2010 to 2018, he transitioned into the title industry, bringing a detail-oriented yet people-focused approach to every transaction. Understanding that real estate closings are among the most significant financial moments in his clients’ lives, he ensures each one is handled with the utmost care.
Since moving to the area in 2018, Peter has been dedicated to delivering exceptional service— all while keeping up with his two young daughters.
Mia Mladenovic

Mia has been working as the Pre/Post Closing Manager for Cobalt since 2019 and ensures that clients are set up for success throughout the closing process.
Her attention to detail is crucial in delivering a seamless experience for clients, from contract to close and beyond. She enjoys volunteering with local community gardens and spending time with her family and friends.
Zoya Mahajan
Director of Business Development

Zoya is the Director of Business Development for Cobalt, and specializes in developing key relationships, fostering strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth. She is a proud Hokie as a Virginia Tech graduate and is originally from India.
Her background includes executive leadership experience in education, working with vulnerable populations through her work with Alzheimer’s/Dementia patients, extensive work with nonprofits, and serving in the military.
As a retired 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, she has firsthand knowledge of VA loans and the home-buying process, which allows her to provide valuable insights to industry professionals and veteran homebuyers.
After living a nomadic lifestyle to serve, she understands the importance of proving value in communities and creating meaningful connections. She’s passionate about being a resource for others and helping those around her succeed!
