Due to the increase in email/wire fraud, Cobalt Settlements, LLC has adopted strict wiring procedures. Please note the following:

Cobalt will only send wiring instructions through an encrypted portal supported by Qualia.

All requests for closing funds will come from a representative of Cobalt with a Cobalt email address. Please confirm the domain name in any email requesting funds and do not rely on a signature block contained in an email. Signature blocks can be spoofed as part of email/wire fraud.

All client funds will be deposited in Cobalt’s escrow account with MVB Bank. Any instructions directing you to deposit your closing funds in a bank other than MVB are fraudulent.

You should call Cobalt’s office at 703.646.1000 to verify instructions prior to wiring your funds.
